A Tax Favorable Qualified Employer Sponsored Individual Employee Health Plan (ICHRA)
The Healing Together Charity Fund mission is to assist self-funded health plans to high-cost claimants. This program is tax favorable to the employer as a charitable contribution and favorable to the employee as all eligible health related medical expenses are funded by the employer. The program also minimizes the potential risk of stop-loss claims by moving high claimants to an individual, off-market health plan. As a result, the group will not experience significant rate increases upon renewal as a result of high dollar claimants.
The Healing Together Charity Fund Program is offered and administered by Preferred Health Plan of the Carolinas.
The Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) is an alternative to offering a traditional group health plan to your employees. It's also the newest standalone HRA that enables employers of all sizes to reimburse employees for health insurance tax-free.
ICHRA is part of an employer-based health benefits revolution and we couldn't agree more! It is a specific account-based health plan that allows employers to provide defined non-taxable reimbursements to employees for qualified medical expenses, including monthly premiums and out-of-pocket costs, like copayments and deductibles. Employees must be enrolled in individual health insurance coverage to use the funds.
